Building on Generations of Excellence.

Ron Bonvie

Principal

Since starting his home building business as a junior at Mansfield High School, Ron Bonvie has attained all manner of knowledge and expertise, from property acquisitions to permitting to marketing. In fact, he has developed and built more than 2,000 homes in communities throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut since 1971, building quite a reputation along the way. Ron also has 20 years of experience building active adult homes, and was one of the first homebuilders in the National Association of Home Builders to receive a CAASH (Certified Active Adult Specialist in Housing) designation.

A respected expert in the building industry, Ron has spoken at National Association of Home Builders’ conventions in Dallas, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Las Vegas, and at 55-Plus conferences across the country. He has written articles for “Seniors Housing News,” and judged the 55-Plus housing awards. Ron is a past or current member of: the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston; the New England 55-Plus Housing Council (founding member); NAHB 55-Plus Board of Trustees; NAHB Educational Committee; ULI 55-Plus Committee (founding member); the Mansfield Conservation Commission; and the Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals.

Presently, Ron is completing one of the fastest selling active adult communities in the Northeast, Southport on Cape Cod. Consisting of 750 residences, a 32,000-square foot community center, a nine-hole golf course, tennis courts and a guardhouse, this community was twice selected as one of the “Top 100 Master-Planned Communities in the United States” by Where to Retire magazine.

One of Ron’s newest developments, Winning Farm of Winchester, is just getting started, but has already received the “Best 55+ Attached Home in America – On the boards” from the NAHB. Additionally, Ron is also either permitting or constructing several other residential communities across the state of Massachusetts.

As a prominent developer, Ron knows that building homes is only part of the picture. A commitment to the community at large is also part of being a responsible neighbor and community member. In that spirit, he has made an ongoing commitment to the less fortunate in the towns in which he builds, donating time and resources to a large variety of community service organizations and charities.

In his spare time, Ron enjoys restoring motorcycles or cars, flying planes and helicopters, riding motorcycles, and captaining his yacht, the BONNE VIE (previously known as Continental Drifter when owned by Jimmy Buffett).

Frank Bonvie

Principal

Following in his father’s footsteps, Frank Bonvie is proud to be the fourth generation in a long line of family developers, builders and carpenters. Frank began showing interest in his father’s work at a young age. In 2011, Frank joined his father Ron at the national award-winning, active adult community of Southport in Mashpee on Cape Cod where he was given the responsibility of managing operations. Frank continues to manage operations at Southport and is also responsible for site acquisitions and new project approvals for Bonvie Homes.

Prior to Bonvie Homes, Frank had worked in real estate development, sales, and property management. Frank’s passion for construction and real estate development led him to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Bentley University with a minor in Law. He graduated from Bentley in 2012 and continues to use his finance and accounting skills as a Principal of Bonvie Homes. In 2016 Frank graduated with his law degree from Suffolk University.
