Ron Bonvie, principal of Bonvie Homes and the developer and builder of Southport in Mashpee, MA, was recently appointed a Founding Member of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Lifestyle Residential Development Council-55+. “Ron Bonvie’s 28 years of experience developing and building award winning, age-qualified lifestyle communities for the home buyer seeking a community with a full spectrum of opportunities was a major consideration in his selection to be one of the founding members of this Council,” noted ULI Council Chair Margaret Wylde.
“The prestigious ULI is a leader in both residential and commercial real estate in the US and through the creation of this Council recognizes the significance of the growing baby boomer housing market,” Bonvie noted.
In addition to this new appointment, he is also actively involved in the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) where he serves on the Board of Trustees of NAHB’s 55-Plus Housing Industry Council, the NAHB Education Committee and as an Alternate Director on NAHB’s Board of Directors representing the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston.
Bonvie has been developing and building over 2,000 homes in Massachusetts for 44 years. His primary focus is lifestyle communities ranging from adults 55 and over to the millennial generation which has become the largest population group in this country with more than 80 million people between the ages of 22 – 35.
